How to address a letter correctly - For those of you who have never sent a letter and this is the first time you want to send it, either  to parents, relatives, friends or apply for a job to an office. The first thing you do is write the address on the mail envelope.

But you should not be careless in writing the address, because it could result that your letter does not arrive.

Therefore, you must know How to address a letter correctly.

It is very important so that the mail can be easily delivered to the destination. But if you do not understand where to put it, let see the example of addressing a letter of interest below, it also can be used to other kinds of letter :

How to address a letter of interest

1. Sender
you should make the sender's complete detail in the top left corner.
exp :

Sender's name
street address
city state, zip code/ p.o box
sender's phone number
your email

2. Recipient
you should make the recipient's complete detail in the middle of the letter with rather large alphabet to further indicate that it is the "Recipient" not the sender.
exp :

Recipient's name
street address
city state, zip code/ p.o box
recipient's phone number

3. Stamps
Stamps will be affixed to the upper right corner.


Note ;

  • giving phone number is not a must, but if you are afraid if the mail will not arrive, write the phone number is a good solution to make the staff easy to call you or recipient if there is problem in sending the letter.
  • Giving an email can make the recipient easier to email you soon for a reply compared by using letter
